It feels that Volvo designed an entirely new suspension. Both the front end and rear end is completely new. Gone are the old Ford-based suspension in cast iron and mild steel which was also sensitive to torque. The new front axle is constructed with double-wishbone aluminum subdued real coilovers. Behind sits a fiberglass spring crosswise (like the Chevrolet Corvette). Especially the four-wheel drive version feels really nice to drive, out of corners and roundabouts feels almost like driving a rear wheel drive car, as it sits on the rear wheels and accelerates. With this powerful increase in power, the car gets the performance that it deserves!
