For the warranty to be valid, you have to activate it on your own BSR pages. Your car must meet the requirements (age, mileage, condition, service book etc.), and you have to confirm the conditions of the warranty.
The Machine Warranty must be activated within 3 weeks from the time of buying.

The first year is free of charge, and you can extend it for 2 more years if you want, costing SEK 595/year (approx €67). The warranty expires at a mileage of 120.000km, or when the car is 4 years old.

The warranty is valid for cars registered in Europe.
