BSR is recognized for environmental work
2009-02-12

After ten years of hard environmental work, BSR continues to receive recognition from the media.

Back then, ten years ago ethanol was not used as fuel in modern cars and many people were very sceptical when BSR started to develop engines and software calibration for the environmental friendly ethanol fuel. Today, 10 years later we can see that ethanol has become a very popular environmental friendly fuel and that all major car manufacturers currently fight over market shares by using ethanol powered cars.

Also in motor sports, a shift from regular gasoline towards ethanol has been evident. When BSR started working on an ethanol conversion of the first rally car engine, it produced 212 Hp's on petrol. When the conversion was completed, the same engine produced 315 hp's. Who would have guessed that the ideas BSR had over 10 years ago would be "the latest fashion" among all car manufacturers today?
