Used PPC - Re-use a PPC?
Since the PPC unit has been designed to work only with the first car it is connected to, it is not possible to use it in another car even if it is the same type of car.

To get the correct software update etc. it is important that BSR has the correct customer information. If you buy a car with PPC, e-mail us the PPC number (on the back of the PPC unit), your full name and address, e-mail address and phone number.

New car - Can I use the PPC in my new car?
The PPC can only be used in the car it is programmed for.
We cannot unlock the PPC since the lock is a security function to unable use of the PPC in another car. If this security lock could be unlocked the PPC could be misused.
The big cost is not the PPC unit itself, it is the developing cost for the software.

We recommend that you offer the buyer of the car the opportunity to try the PPC and buy it. This is the best financial solution for you.
We can also offer a trade in where you trade in your used PPC, trade in discount is 900SEK incl VAT.

Can i exchange my PPC 1 to the PPC 2 version ?
For customers with a PPC 1 who want to upgrade to the PPC 2 version, we offer this exchange for the amount of Sek 2000:- excl VAT. (shipping cost will be added)
The PPC will contain the latest software's and the same tuning stage as before.

Can I trade in my PPC when I buy a new car?
We have a trade-in offer where you trade in your used PPC when you buy a new PPC / upgrade for another car, and get a reduction of 900 SEK on the new PPC.
The big cost is not the PPC unit itself, it is the developing cost for the software.

We are developing PPC technology for several types of cars but we cannot give you any delivery dates yet for types not mentioned on the website.
There could be some other tuning technology available to provide your car with BSR tuning programs, such as serial programming. Find the year and make of your car, and engine type on the website to see what we have to offer.

The PPC technology is a unique tuning technology introduced by BSR in 2003. The product was developed by BSR.
- No mechanical measures necessary: basically, you don’t even have to open the
hood.
- Quick software reload.
- Return to original state whenever you require.
- Unlimited number of reloads of original/tuning/update.
- Update to latest software version via Internet.
- No visits to tuning supplier to return to original state/upgrade.
- The PPC-unit is your property and follows the car.
- BSR has all the documentation regarding your vehicle and can respond quickly to
support questions.
In addition to this, you have all the advantages of the BSR tuning.

Must the PPC be connected to the car?
The PPC unit is your own personal tool to load the tuning program to your vehicle and to upgrade the program when you get your free upgrades from us. It will also let you return the car to its original state.
The PPC only needs to be connected to the car when performing these tasks. When driving the car the PPC unit should be disconnected from the car, and you are free to store it wherever you want.

Software updates
As a PPC customer you will receive free software updates.
The updates are developed when the car manufacturor changes original software or makes other general improvements.
You will be informed via e-mail about major changes.
If your car has been reset to original condition during service and you have received new software from the manufacturer, the message "read car" will probably appear when you try to load a BSR tuning system.
This is to stop you fram overwriting the updated software using the older version. When you have "read the car" and sent us the updated file we will adapt our tuning file to work with the new software. You will receive an e-mail when the new software is ready for download.

Updating the software
With BSR´s unique PPC system you can keep your car´s software updated. The car manufacturers update the original software as often as 4-12 times/year. Every time you visit the workshop there is a possibility that the car get an updated software. It´s now the PPC technology shows one of its strongest advantages!
How does it work?
Each PPC contains up to 70 different tuning files and to each tuning file there is matching original file. When connecting PPC to the car PPC checks which of these files that´s in your car, then it automatically chooses a matching tuning and original file. This system is unique and makes it possible for you to always have access to the latest software available, no other tuning system has this function.
What to do if the workshop updated the software
When your brand workshop has updated the software of the car, for example when servicing the car, you connect PPC to the car. PPC now checks the software automatically and chooses a tuning file that matches the original file. If PPC doesn't recognize the new file, PPC will show the message "Read car?" in the display. The message means that this software isn't stored in PPC. Then you connect PPC to Internet to download the latest software from BSR's server. If this software contrary to expectation doesn't exist on BSR's server you complete the Read car instruction and send the program to BSR´s server via Internet. Short after this our technicians start producing a new software that fits the new original file. After a few days (1-5 working days) you will get an e-mail from us telling you that there is a new software available for downloading.
To send software to us or download new software is extremely simple. You do this by clicking once in the PPC Sync program.
How often?
Car manufacturers often hurry off with releasing new models and the result is that it is necessary with some development work even after the models have reached the customers. There can also be some bugs or other mistakes.
