Acceleration, timekeeping
BSR is using the most advanced GPS-based logging system available from RaceLogic in all acceleration performance measurements before and after tuning. The logging system has an accuracy of 0.1 km/h compared to actual speed which ensures that the results correlates extremely well with actual car performance.

All acceleration intervals are tested three times on level ground in both directions and an average value is calculated from the results. Full acceleration starts 10 km/h below the lower end of the interval and ends 10 km/h after the upper end. The interval 80-120 km/h for instance is evaluated through maximum acceleration from 70 km/h to 130 km/h and the acceleration time between 80 km/h and 120 km/h is recorded.

All tests are always performed using one gear only in an interval. This is to prevent any driver mistakes during gear changes.
